MUTTERINGS #47: ROSELLA

"ROSELLA IN PLUM BLOSSOM"
ROSELLA

Rosella bursts out of the tree like a flower.

I want to live in that time spiral.

You don’t even know you’re alive:

the sap flowing through your veins’

deathless insight.

These jasmines overhead,

flying by my wooden home.

G'day Veen, A beautiful Crimson Rosella. Did you take the photo? we get the Eastern Rosellas in our Melaleuca trees when they are in bloom together with the Rainbow Lorrikeets. I have a special spot for parrots, they all seem to have their own personalities.

Yes I did mate. Any pictures that have the "Veen" caption is taken by yours truly. I was backing the car out from the garage and she caught my eye, camod against the plum blossoms. What were the odds of that?

Yes, I agree...they seem to have a personality of their own, that's for sure.

Hi Gord, the birds in Mutterings 45 are called Galahs...another type of Australian parrot. I have some great shots of Sulfur Crested Cockatoos, another Australian parrot (bad ones though...highly disructive). I will post them shortly.
